BlocWeave Lab is an applied AI studio building products, platforms, and enabling technologies for real-world problems. We design, prototype, and launch software systems that make advanced capabilities more practical, more accessible, and more useful.

The main engine of that work is BlocWeave, an AI coding assistant built for African developers. It brings powerful AI models directly into VS Code at prices that make sense for the continent - with a free tier, GHS-denominated credits, and full support for English and French. Everything else we build in the lab runs on or alongside it, making it both a product and the foundation we ship from.

Our work spans digital health, African storytelling and cultural preservation, AI-driven media systems, education infrastructure, and practical tools for local communities. Some of these products are powered by BlocWeave. Others emerge from different research, models, and product experiments across the lab. Together, they reflect our belief that technology should be built in the wild, shaped by people, and constantly improved through use.
